Sewukiwma's Hopi Overlay Jewelry Arts & Crafts

Sewukiwma’s Hopi Overlay Jewlery Arts and Crafts opened in April 2003. Tours are welcome. They specialize in Hopi Overlay Jewelry and most of what is created is one of a kind. They perform costume work, repairs, and cleaning. The shop contains Hope Overlay Jewelry, Tufa cast Overlay Jewelry, bead work, paintings, drawings, post cards, traditional plaques, sifters, rattles, katsina dolls, bows and arrows, pottery, books, etc. It is retail and wholesale business and welcome shop owners. The shop also purchases from local artisans and try to encourage their own children, family, and younger artists by purchasing their art.

Katsina carvings are created mostly by Willard. His Katsina doll carvings and the Hope Overlay Jewelry would be their best feature. Most of the artwork on post cards is done by the family.

Demonstrations on Hopi Overlay Jewelry and katsina carvings are done at the shop.
